- Purple Spheres: Purple Spheres came about from a loose network of young artists, designers, developers who wanted to break out of the day-to-day drudgery and just ?invent shit?. "We all knew we had it in us to be innovative, but our day jobs just weren?t giving us enough opportunity. So the idea of a week-long innovation camp came about, and the next question was how, where and when?" After a series of seriously passionate discussions with Orcon, the Purple Spheres camp managed to wrangle itself a creative hothouse in the beautiful Huia Lookout on Manukau Harbour. Starting on September 1st 2008, eight digital artists/ computer programmers/ geek types from Australasia will get together just outside of Auckland for one week with the sole purpose of creating new digital design models, programmes, art and to just simply ?invent shit?.
